    Engine HP Question...

    Hello List!
I have a real problem. I had an engine built. Then had a falling out with the builder. I'm sure the engine's fine, but I don't know the exact (or estimate) HP the engine produces. I'd like to have an Idea so I can decide on intake options. Here's the parts list.

    4 bolt, bored .30 over, Comp cam. (Adv. Dur. 260/ 260, Lift .500/ .500),
Melling 'vette oil pickup screen, Hv oil pump and drive.
Comp pro roller rockers, Hyd roller lifters and springs. Cloyes true roller timing chain set.
GM Perf. 64cc iron vortec heads and Gm perf. TBI intake.
    Headmann headers.
Stewart stage 2 waterpump, thermo, and bolt kit
    3 row Proliance rad.
    March crank and waterpump pulleys.

    Can anyone help with this?

    Thanks

I would say it will probably make around 350 horses. Run a dual plane intake, it will work the best with what you have.

That's a very mild cam. I think 69elko is being generous.

Sounds like closer to 330hp, but why not get it dyno'd. Surely there is someplace around your area that can do that.

BTW, my car was originally owned and built in Slidell back in the late 80's early 90's. Great car but they left out the heater. Would have been helpful to have in our Northeast winters. I guess the builder thought it was never going to leave the South.

I really can't dyno. But the info I got here and other places leads me to the police special 85lb injectors as a starting point. Opinions?
Who built your car? I wonder if they're still in biz..

    thanks!

Yeah, I didn't realize the cam was 206 duration @ .050. Advertised numbers always throw me off.

You're probably looking at about 320 HP. As for the injectors, I'm not the best with fuel injection, so you're guess is probably better than mine.

dafrogtoad, I'll have to check the paper work and get back to you. Original owner had to sell due to financial problems. Second owner still lives there I believe. He didn't add heat either, must be a southern thing.
