Straight or Angle plug heads

Is there any advantages/disadvantages on a gm 64cc heads with straight or angle plugs. I getting ready to rebuild a sb chevy 350 4bolt, and would like it to have some good streetable performance. If anyone has some good recommendations, I'm open to all suggestions.

The angle plug heads are supposed to give an extra 3 or 4 HP at the very top of the engine range. So with the extra burned and skinned fingers and ignition leads trying to change plugs, it is hardly worth it. Thats how I figure it anyway.

Not to mention the cross threaded plugs, difficulty finding headers, fines for use of profanity in the proximity of a school(I didn't even know that was a law but its a $50 fine).... It just doesn't add up.

Angle plug heads were produced to move the start of flame travel closer to the exhaust vale. It can be even more efficient for "free" horsepower if the plugs are indexed. R&D discovered an ability to reshape combustion chambers for better flow and improved combustion. It is still worth considering to have a pair of these mounted on your steed because it really is worth more than a mere 3-4 hp. It can easily produce 35 -40 on a set up that is not as efficient as we all hope for. Improve the induction and "tune" as best for the heads as you can and watch the torque and hp numbers go a bit higher no to mention tunability in the RPM band you are trying to achieve. Beside what's a few 3rd degree burns and learning a new vocabulary worth?........LOL.
