Compcams XE268H cam, 224*/230* @ 0.050" tappet lift, 0.477"/0.480" theoretical valve lift. Makes power from 1,600 to 5,800 and will work well with the 10.2 static compression ratio. Cut block decks for 0.035" to 0.040" piston to head clearance with piston at TDC using the supplied head gasket in the kit. Keep total timing at 32-34 degrees. These are fast-burn combustion chambers and will not need the normal 36*. The close piston-head clearance will allow you to run pump gas at 10.2:1 static c.r. This combo should make right at 400 hp and 400 ft./lbs of torque.
Thanks looks like a good setup, but I don't think my funds will support that. I missed a deal on a complete 98 vortec 350 for a hundred bucks a while back. I wish I could have bought it and got the heads off it.
Thanks, Kade
