For a minute there by your threads title, I thought you were refering to the "Harley Shakes",
But okay sounds good. Pity about that water pump though, you should have a good warranty claim there.

I hope it is covered under warranty... I bought it from Summitt when we started to build the engine, it was a few months ago. The site says that they only warranty the product for 90 days. I hope they'll still cover it under warranty seeing as I only had it running in the car for 30 minutes...
On another note: I just got done changing the oil after the initial break in, and looked carefully at the engine for any other problems. I noticed my wire covers that I ran over my wiring in on the firewall melted near the headers. Do any of you know of a better wire cover that will withstand heat better than the black plastic covers? The wires are ran about 4 inches above the header on the firewall and the plastic still melted. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Last edited by 67CamaroProject; 02-05-2007 at 05:50 PM.

just wrap of bag the headers, that'll be the easiest way to solve the problem, or you can get the expensive polished aluminum wire looms....also wrapping or bagging your headers will reduce overall heat in the engine compartmentjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day

good thinking denny, that would definately look better than bags or wraps, those are functional but look like crap or i guess he could even shoot the limits and wrap them and shield them so they look good and keep heat out to the maxjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
