We finally started my engine for my '67 Camaro. It's built to the specs. of the ZZ430 Engine with a hydraulic cam instead of a roller cam. We started it up last night and ran it to break in the cam. 1/2 way through the break-in, coolant was dripping down onto the harmonic balancer... After a more in depth check we realized the brand new polished water pump must have had a hairline crack in the casting. We finished the cam break in, but now I have to pull the front of the engine apart and put a new water pump on.

At least we got it fired... and man does it sound good!!!
