    You can use your rods.
You will need a different flexplate and a different balancer.
You may need to do some rod bolt prep and also block prep.

The block will need a little messaging along the rails/the area where the oil pan mounts to the block. Because of the bigger swing of the crank, the rods rotate in a larger circle therefore the block has to be clearanced and the rod bolts will need a little help as well as they might come into contact of the cam. You will also need new pistons due to a larger stroke. The pins in the pistons move upward within the piston. You might be able to use the same flex plate and balancer, depending on what the machinist says. I like my rotating assemblies balanced internally(meaning within the block area), therefore the balancer and flex plate balance at neutral, no weights.

So about the only thing you can salvage are your rods. If your bearings are still good, and if your current rotating assembly was balanced, you might just want to try and sell the short block and start over.
Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.
