    Cleareance

     



    I need to know what the minumin clearance is for a small block chevy rods between the two rods is the clearance i need to know

    For most of the street small blocks that make over 350 hp at the crank I will run a min. of .012 between the rods.
    On a circle track engine that turns 7,500 for lap after lap I try and dial in around .020.

    I like to keep the side clearance someplace between .012-.015 on street engines, as Erik, I increase it on high rpm race engines and on aluminum rods....
