    250 chevy or pontiac

I am looking at putting a 250 inline 6 into my car and I was wondering if there is any difference between a chevy 250 and a pontiac 250 other then casting numbers?

In the 50s and 60s G.M. Canada built Pontiac bodied cars on the Chevrolet platform useing Chevrolet parts. Canadian Chevies and Poncho's used the same engines.
