    my 1/2 ton GMC

Is now back up and running after the big engine compartment burn.
    Droped a 204/214 420/442 lift cam in the 305.
the holley I bought on e-bay was crap. So I rubuilt the 795cfm Quadrajet installed new metering rods from donor carbs. now it runs like raped ape.
oh to give some info it has a Wienand stealth manifold with the holey to quadrajet adapter.
The only thing now is getting the 350turbo to shift a little sooner ie 1st to 2nd is at 42mph and 2nd to 3rd is at 57mph once in 3rd I can cruise at 60mph at 2000rpm any sugestions? Oh if I engage the lock up it drops to 1800 rpm.

Are the 305 heads modified, ie larger valves? Just wunderin cause you got 795cfm, did you use an extreme energy comp cam?

no they are stock heads. Cam is by summit. I ran out of cash and had the carb here so that is what I used I may still put big metering rods in it to lean it out a bit more. the nice thing is that quadrajets when set up right only flow the air that the engine needs.
