I swapped the old computer feedback carb on my '81 Malibu with a non-computer '80 model Rochester, and yes the car runs SO much better! The only major difference aside from the computer junk was the idle stop solenoid on the '81 was computer controlled with a 4 terminal connector going into it and it did not fit to the '80 carb. The one for the '80 uses a simple idle stop with one electrical terminal on it. Do I now just wire that terminal to the hot wire going to the A/C compressor for it to function? Thanks!
