Idle stop solenoid question

I swapped the old computer feedback carb on my '81 Malibu with a non-computer '80 model Rochester, and yes the car runs SO much better! The only major difference aside from the computer junk was the idle stop solenoid on the '81 was computer controlled with a 4 terminal connector going into it and it did not fit to the '80 carb. The one for the '80 uses a simple idle stop with one electrical terminal on it. Do I now just wire that terminal to the hot wire going to the A/C compressor for it to function? Thanks!

I'd hook a hot wire with key on to it, so when you cut the car off the carb. will close all the way shut. :HMMM:

take a test light with the key on and the a\c on, you should have the test light on at this point.now turn the a\c off and see which wire in the four prong connector goes on and off with the a\c and tap into that wire and you should be all set.
