First off, don't re-use the lifters in a different block. Toss 'em and install new ones on the cam. If you were going back into the same block, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but the lifter bores of the other block will be different enough that you'll likely encounter problems. Just my opinion.
The stock converter will work with that cam, but you'll get a lot better "seat of the pants" feel of acceleration with a little looser converter. My best guess is that the stock one will stall about 1,200-1,400.
