434 is as big as you can go with a stock block. But if you are using an aftermarket block like a Dart or a Motown, then you can go 454 easily. And you won't have to use a small base circle camshaft or be concerned about rod clearance.

Weeelllll, Against what has been said here, I went ahead and ordered my spinning assembly for the 377.
Probe Forged Flat top pistons
"H" Beam 4340 Steel Rods w/ ARP bolts
Scat Series 9000 cast steel crank shaft
cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of a $1000.
