I think I agree. Going bigger and not having to turn it so hard seems like the better idea. Doing it this way would also make it a lot more streetable huh?

Well, I know u can make up to 434 out of a 400, but I'm not sure if you can make 454 out of it. Seems like you'd have to have like a 4.125 stroke or so and a big bore. I'm not sure.
434 is as big as you can go with a stock block. But if you are using an aftermarket block like a Dart or a Motown, then you can go 454 easily. And you won't have to use a small base circle camshaft or be concerned about rod clearance.Quote:
