    this block good?

ok on the number 2 and 6 cylinders on my buddys 350 block there are pieces of the cylinder missing at the bottom of the bore (im assuming the rods knocked it out. now its nowhere near the rings so is this really a problem?
and will we have any problems if we wanna have it bored?
    thanks guys

i woudlnt risk it, 350 blocks are common enough to be able to find a replacement easily. if you do decide to get it bored, have the machine shop magnaflux it first to see if its cracked or not, they should also be able to look at it and tell you if its safe to use.

If it's below the ring travel of the piston, just the edge down at the bottom, probably not going to be a problem.. Bore it and run it.

Check your bearing alignment. A whack from the rods shedding can distort the block.

yes and some times when whack really hard the cam bore may be off .what i like to do is put a welding rod or cut a hanger and put it down the deck thru a water pass or a head bolt hole were the block is hurt mark were the rod stops on the deck pull it out set it now in the bore were the chip is this will tell you how much block is left were the block is hurt. i have built some blocks like this.i did one for a guy that was so bad he was trying to tell me it was cut for a big crank i told him the rods did all the cutting on the way out of the pan here is one if i can load it that was hurt a bit. no cant load it but it is on my gallery cant miss it .it is the one with part of the pan rail missing and had six sleeves in it but was fix
