    Internally balanced/externally balanced ????

Guys, I need to pick up a flywheel for my motor. Apparently, there's two types, ones for internally balanced motors and ones for externally balanced motors. How do I know if my motor that I built is either internal or external balanced ? This may be a stupid question, but help me out.

on balancing. If the 400 is externally balanced, then if you build a stroker out of a 400 does it need to be balanced?

I'm trying to learn about 400's. I know when you build a 383, you need to send the spinning assembly to the machine shot to get it balanced. Is this the same with the 400 since it is externally balanced?

the 383 cranks are ex less you have a hi rent crank so it will use a 400 damper and fly wheel or auto wheel. balancing is balancing if all your parts are for the mass .it is fun when you make one internal that was set UP FOR EX balancing it cost $$ in heavy metal on the ex you need the damper and the fly wheel you would use seeing how this is weight for the counter weight if you do not then the front and back of the crank get drill and reamed for heavy metal
