    Need some help or advice.

I feel a little embarassed about posting this, but hey oh well here goes. I recently built a 350 (4-bolt main), forged steel crank, flat top pistons, mechanical cam machanical lifters. I will be using a GM HEI unit for ignition. My heads are 62' Impala heads. It has 2.02 intake valve/ 1.60 exhaust valves. My cam is as follows: .050 DUR--intake254 exhaust 254, SAE DUR intake 295 exhaust 295. Cam lift .323 intake.323 exhaust. Valve lift is .485 intake .485 exhaust. Lobe CTRS are 110 on the intake and 118 on the exhaust. Lash is .30 both intake and exhaust. What is a good intake manifold to run with this set-up ? Also, is she going to be "choppy" at idle ? Any help and clarification will be great. Just looking for how she is going to perform. Also, I was planning on using either a 650 Holley or a 750 Edelebrock carb.

It will be a tad choppy. Seems as the going thing these days is to run an Edelbrock air gap intake. I personally like the Offy 360* and a 650Holley DP if your not running an auto trans. You know you will have trouble hanging accesories from those heads.

    NTFDAY,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I will be running a 4-speed manual. Your right about those heads. No holes are drilled and tapped for mounting whatever. Thanks.
