There IS no cheap way to 500 HP. If you are going to do the work yourself, other than the machine work, you can get in the low to mid 4s with a 383 stroker for about $2,000 - $2,500.

500HP? Easy. Take one 307olds/305chevy/350 chevy. Add up total Hp(140, 135 and 200, give or take) Subtract the hp rating from 500 and add that much nitrous. Collect rods scattered across track and smile that for 1 brief second you had 500HP:LOL::LOL::LOL:
ok go to a airforce museum look for a rolls meriln v 12 and ask if you can use it :whacked: then pore the Nos to it,:DQuote:

And as I recall, it comes from the factory with water injection so it will probably run on pump gas.Quote:

Ok this is the build up I have going on right now sbc355, 12:1 Compression Ratio, Sportsman2 cast iron heads, I am using a Super Victor but you could use a Victo Jr only diffrence is rpm, demon 850 carburetor, ARP main and rod bolts and ARP head bolts to also a custom Chet Herbert Solid Camshaft but you coud use a Hydrolic Camshaft my crank and rods and pistons are forged but to save money if there is not going to be a power adder you could use stock crank, rod's and a Hypereutectic Piston but I would go Forged piston better in the long run!
ive got a 71 nova it had a stock 350 in it...if i were you ...i put vortec cast iron heads and a high rise intake manifold with no nos thats all ive done and it dynoed at 458hp...run that with some nos and ur good to go ;)
