    Help oil in radiator

     



    I have a sbc 400 I am using oil , 1 quarT every 30 miles , the oil is going into the radiator the motor is a new motor only 200 miles on it what could be causing this ? the motor runs strong

    is there water in the oil? Did you check the galley plugs when you put it togather?

    No there is no water in the oil

    With that much oil going into the water system it almost would have to be a galley plug at the back of the cam, I mean it's pushing it in or you would have water in the oil as well & that's the only place that I can think of that would have oil pressure without allowing water to seap into the oiling system.

    Does your radiator have an engine oil cooler?

    Maybe the block is cracked.
    anythings possible since u say u bought it as a long block.
