I have a 400 sbc new motor - the right head is cracked oil is going in to the radiator .
I have two new Vortec heads 64 cc the 400 heads are 74 cc How thick of a head gasket would I nead to keep the compression the same for I can use the smaller cc heads?

The problem that you would encounter is that you would have no squish and the motor would rattle like a can of rocks. Ford tried this approach with its 400M motors in the mid-70's. They had to reduce the c.r. into the 7's to keep the motor from detonating, then it was just a pig.
