Ok
The timing marks are together with the #1 piston up. After turning the engine over with the bottom mark up the cam gear is on top, so I am sure that the timing was correct. Now that I am putting the motor back together I found an intake valve that was bent. Would this have caused mthe motor to kick back when starting?
