    What fits the best

     



    I have a 1955 chevy 3200 thriftmaster,p/u, it has the org, 235 inline six with a 3 on the tree.. what v8 fits best and can i use the stock trans until I can afford an auto, also need info on a brake upgrade as I hear they don't like to stop, Thanks,, B

    Any small block Chevy will fit in there.

    yeah, you can fit any SBC in there no problem... brakes wise.... look for either off a newer chevy brakes with the same lug pattern, for the front... for the rear depending on what the brake setup is you can either get larger brakes and they'll swap on or you might need new axles setup for larger brakes.... or you can spend some green and get a disc brake conversion
    just because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
