i have 350 we just rebuild it and i was driving it and it went to skipping so we checked the plugs and wires and then we thought it may be the valves were to tight but it was not that we think it might be the lifters what u all think

Any noises (tapping/knocking) ? Start with easy checks first. Pull a plug wire at a time to see if the engine changes. Use plug wire pliers from your local autoparts store. Pull one, If it misses worse, put it back on and go to the next one. When you pull one and it doesn't change the engine, you found the miss.
