several years ago, I had the same question as you do.....which Q-jet to use. A friend had recommended JET Performance (in California). I called them and gave them the details on my motor and the intended use. They built me a q-jet that was fantastic. It was correct out of the box....I had to only adjust the idle speed.

It had the shaft bushings installed and the well plugs epoxied..... all the stuff that you have to do. And the price was in the $300 to $350 range as I remember.

I recommend them over the Edelbrock.
