i ran roller rocker with press studs and no guide plates and my s10 driver never had any problems if the studs 3/8 or 7/16 stock are 3/8. they are the same as the rockers you have.you may want to check you pushrod length. check to make shure the engine is a older small block the newer small block some that used self aligning rockers they have a grooved on the bottom of the rocker that rides on the valve stem if so then i would say no .or you need guilde plates to use them
