what is the car doing that you think is wrong ( noises, squeaks, hard starting, soft brakes ). To tune the carb, you could try firing it up and turning the ajuster screws out ( 1 by 1 ) until the car stumbles, and then turn them back until the stumble stops.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
