chevy 283
Hi,
I have a 283 chevy engine that i'm rebuilding. Block casting number is 3756519 , i believe it 59-61 block. The date code is G280. Is this a '60 or '61 engine?
thanks

Looks more like a Engine ID code than date code
F0804WA would be:
F - Flint Plant
08 - August
04 - 4 day of month
WA - Suffex code as follows
1965, 283, Manual trans, 175 HP, 2 barrels, C10-35 bodyNo matter where you go....there you are!

My 65 Studebaker coupe has the same rams horns so that doen't help.
