    S10 V8 Headers

hey ppl, im putting a small block in one of my s10's. Just wondering what style of header is usable, no block huggers or stock manifolds. i was wondering if someone ever used a full length regular style header with out cutting the fender wells? since i want a driveable vehichle and hooker super comp headers arent available pre bent for an s10 like dynomax and heddmens cheaper headers.

Im pretty sure the headers on my V8 s10 are Super Comp headers. They come in,i think, 3 pieces and fit together with the collector. One of the pipes wraps around the frame on both sides and the steering shaft goes through the piping on the drivers side.

    Thumbs up

I have sent ROSS an e mail to check out a set of Hooker Headers pt#2839-1 Purchased in 1997. I was told they fit an S 10 using a SBC engine.

you cannot use block huggers for this swap, there are headers made just for this swap. Hedman and hooker make them both. they have shorties or the longtubes descibe above that wrap around the frame. I have the longtube headmans pics are at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/672064

they will not work because of the way the engine sits between the frame rails. they are shorties just for the S-10.
