Looks great, It would be nice if you could specify what you have used in your build-up.

Only on more Hp and you would have a 305" with 305 Hp..hehe..

It's all in the combination and Chevy 37 has found the combination.

Very interesting. It is fun to see that you are using stock 305" heads. Almost all other build-ups posted on the internet uses new (expensive!) cylinder heads.

Nice engine. Our those hp numbers at the wheels. If so very impressive for ported stock heads.

No I wish the numbers were at the wheel. The 304 is from the crank.

I bought a 84 Chevy pickup today and it has the 305. All I hear is they are crappy for trying to make HP and all and I know people will tell me to tear it out and put in a 350. I dont care, I am going to put headers, exhaust, manifold, cam, etc and leave it. A bit better on gas, plus it's another everyday driver for me and my dad and the truck is a long bed so it isn't some drag racing truck. See I don't get it, I hate when I go places and people are like "oh why do you have a 302 in your Ford, kind of small for a truck, you need a big block". First thing I think is.. do you have the money to buy me one? Second, do you have gas money for me... no wait all the gas stations here dont even have gas right now so wont be doing me any good. Thirdly, do you want to build me some race track and have me race?
Sometimes I think that a lot of people dont know the whole point to hot rodding or dont even know what it is. It's not all about HP.
Ok well anyways, those motors both in those pics are really nice and I think that is cool with the approach you guys are using with them. Something different and you guys dont care what others think, to me that's awsome.

Oh yeah can you get some more pics of your moter Chevy 37? How long do you think a well maintained 305 can last for. The truck we bought has 113,000 original miles and has not been driven hard and oil changed when supposed to as well.

there is absolutly nothing wrong with a 305. the black coupe on my web page has a stock 305 with only a cam and a good street tune. with the 200 and 4:11's it will blow the tires off anyway. gets good millage and is a blast to drive. i'll buy those "junk" 305's any day.

Well I just looked up the HP and Torque numbers for my 305 and the TBI one which is the one I have has 170HP and 260 ft pounds of torque. Now I wonder what will happen if I put in a cam, do a little bit of head work, exhaust, headers, manifold, TBI work? All the rest of the 2bbl, etc 305's had 130 hp and some had 150 the CA ones. I do plan to build the motor up a bit and then make it look nice but most of all the truck will handle good through turns, etc I am hoping after we get it lowered, sway bars, new wheels and tires instead of the stock ones.
