    Stock shortblocks

I posted a thread the other day about my 400 and possibly getting a new shortblock to replace mine.
My question is can you just get a plain remanufactured SBC 350 or 400 (30 over) shortblock w/ stock everything and put a cam in... Say at least .500 lift with decent heads and 2.02 /1.60 valves, 750cfm carb, 1 5/8" headers, and a decent intake and arrive at 400HP? Thats what I'm getting from some people.
I know most of your HP and torque come from your heads but would it be safe to say you could take a stock 350 or 400 and put on a set of AFR aluminum heads and arrive at that number? I didn't think that getting over 400 HP was that easy. Any thoughts?

Here is link that Techinspector had posted earlier on another thread. Good small block build up combos.
