I ran a 700r for a bit in my 82 vette with 4 side draft webers , I picked up a tv cable from lokar and machined a mount out of billet to get working . Getting the cable setup correctly can be PIA on some setups . Shoot me an email if you need a bit more info ,,,,,,,,,,,,Originally posted by racerrick
Thanks for the reply, I'm kind of leaning that way also. I've had this motor for about six years and it runs great. It also has a 700r4 behind it. I found an old article in Street Rodder that showed a gig made by Tomken Machine out of Buesta, CO. that you can use to drill the manifold to fit the late model heads. I've emailed them and will let you know it the gig is available. I don't mean to sound like an advertisement but this is the first item like this that I've seen.
Anyone have any recommendations on the distributor and coil?
Someone posted a comment about a system available for the 700r4 when it is setup for carbs. Does anyone know the name of the company who makes it. I can't find that thread.
THANKS
