I have a 383 in my 87 4 wheel drive Suburban and love it!!! It moves the big beast with no problems it worth the money Imo.
The 377 is a 400 block with a 350 crank.
There are actually 2 versions of the 377, you can also put a 400 crank in a standard bore 350, that will also get you a 377.Quote:

350 block, 400 crank = 377
350 block 0.030" over, 400 crank = 383
400 block, 350 crank = 372
400 block 0.030" over, 350 crank = 377
