    question for techinspectro1 or anyone else

     



    What would you suggest for ideal setup for solid 350-400hp on 350 sb. Realistic without spending a lot of money, even though I realize its not cheap to build engine up. Thanks for your help!

    Bore 0.030"
    Keith Black #KB193 pistons (12 cc dish)
    Cut block decks to pop pistons out of bore 0.006" at TDC
    Fel-Pro #1003 head gaskets
    Scoggin-Dickey #SD8060AGP L31 Vortec heads with valves and 0.525" lift springs installed. Machined for screw-in studs and guide plates (guide plates and studs not included) $356.47 each.

    Call your favorite cam grinder for a recommendation. I'd be thinking something like this for decent manifold vacuum.

    I have no way to nail down the horsepower or torque this motor would make. I just think it would make a good street motor. (9.55:1 c.r. to run on pump gas with the squish)
