    Another 700r4 question

on a 700r4, how much fluid should I need to put in it? It is new and I poured 2qts in the Torque Converter but the trans was dry. Someone told me between 8-10 qts but that seems like a lot of fluid. Is that right?

Also what is the proper way to check the fluid? Hot in Park?

a complete tranny system will have roughly 14 qts with the transmission, cooler, lines, and pan.

you've put 2 qts. in, add another 4, crank the motor add and check until you get it full, motor running, hot in park.
