ive put the o2 senser in the exhaust in front of the flange and behind it and they worked ok. the LT1 o2 is in the hottest part of the stock manifold. 6" fromm the head. im not say it cant be but id look at the temp. sensor and map senser also. make sure you got vac. to you map sensor.
