Well your not posting enough info to full compare the too....
First of all let address the LSA which you have pointed out are 114 and 112....
The 114 has a wider Lobe Seperation Angle which means it has less overlap...
where as the 112 has a tighter angle with more overlap...
What does that mean to you....The wider the LSA the better the idle quality..meaning smoother idle and a higher vacuum to operate things...
A narower angle will give you more midrange power but with lower idle quality and less vacuum....
What you are missing is the installed angle to know whether the cam has a "ground-in" advance and all the opening and closing points....
Also the 114 cam will be more apt to ping...gonna have to use better gas.... Me I'd run that one and set it where I like...but you may be better off with the 112....
Or as everyone else said...buy whats cheaper....Unless your a dyno number chaser you won't notice much difference other than the way it idles....2~ worth
Edit: I also want you to know that if you buy an Edelbrock cam you MUST use there timing chain and gears (unless you degree the cam) or it will not be where it supose to ...It will be anywhere from 4-8 degrees retarded.....Last edited by dr_bowtie; 05-29-2005 at 04:37 PM.
