if all you did was change the rotor and cap sounds like you got some wires crossed. if not you got the rotor on backwards. it has been done. check that.

its out of timing. the plugs are firing while the intake valves are still open, and its not suppose to. either you got the cam off or the dist. is in wrong or the wires are crossed. or all 3. find top dead center and see if the dist rotor is on #1. if you dont know how to do that see if you can find it under search.

This is what it might be. let me know i ad the DOTS on the camshaft But facing up dead Centre. a friend said it was WRONG so i made them face each other and set the timing to that sinse That it has Started could that be it? do i have to tak it apart again and make em face Top up dead centre? or is there a easy way around it!

if you put the cam dots, dot to dot : and put the dist. on #1 without turning the motor then thats whats wrong. you are off 180 degrees. dot to dot is #6. you need to pull #1 plug out and find TDC and and get you rotor on #1.

pull #1 PLUG, put your finger over thr hole, bump motor around untill it blow you finger off of the plug hole. put timing mark on 0 or TDC on the HB. then set the rotor at #1 in the cap. should be in time.

you need a timing light or move the dist around untill the motor sound the best and crank the best. if you have a light set timing around 10 degrees to start with.
