Use a vacuum gauge to set idle................set for highest vacuum at idle.
BTW, the idle screws will not adjust the richness of the carb. They are only for adjusting the richness of the idle circuit.................that's why the call them "Idle Screws"
To change the richness of the carb under running conditions, you have to change metering rods.Home Handyman Forum
