    327 chevy compression

     



    i have a 327 chevy with 4 valve relief speed pro cast aluminum pistons and a .030 bore .a .045 head gasket standard deck height and 62cc camel hump heads what would the comp ratio be.and how much would i gain if i put in a steel shim head gasket .thank you for your help

    Would need some more info to figure your compression. You would need to know how much your pistons are sitting in the bore and know how many cc's the valve reliefs are. Going to a steel shim gasket would increase your compression, I think they are around .019 to .021 thick so your compression would be increased.
