well I retarded the timing back to 8 degrees btdc and i took it out for a drive and it didn't even cut out this time and I think I found the oil leak. I believe it's coming out of the front of the intake. I got a really close and intimate look at the gasket and i I pulled a piece of it out. Is there enough pressure under there to blow it out and spray it all over the place? I was also looking at the fuel pressure specs for a 79 350 and an 86 5.0. for the 350 the fuel pressure is supposed to be 7.5-9 psi. For the 5.0 it's supposed to be 4-6.5 I used the stock 305 fuel pump on my 350. But the books say that fuel pump is the same for both, but I'm pretty sure it's well below the7-9 psi mark. I'll try to track down a fuel pressure gauge that'll work with this.
