At SEMA the past two years, we stood at the Performance Products booth and looked at the operation. They chose colors that are the same as Edelbrock. Their logo contains a rectangle and detail that is comparable to Edelbrock. Their manifold castings had blank inserts where the name would normally go. No mention of China in their booth......forgot to look for the fine print on the boxes.

Since Edelbrock was taken private, their associations and ventures are not public info anymore......this is either a method to develop a Chinese source before the name association is made OR it is like the Chinese copies of Delco stuff....same box, same logo, but no name.
