Those high rpms rotating assemblies get kind of pricey, and if it's a street driven engine, it will probably be easier to drive and last longer. I know of a lot of people who make 500+ hp with boost from a small block in their "daily" drivers and very few who make 500+ without boost in their daily drivers.
