TechInspector1, I called Brodix today and asked for their lead Tech man. I wanted to run what I had buy him and see if there was any posibility of trading out the track 1s for something more suitable for the street .He gave me the name of a speed shop ,I think its out near you,Robs Speed Shop. He assures me Rob will trade me for the brodix race rite 180s or200s He also told me to call comp cams because they could build me a cam to fool the heads .I told him I had done that ,NO help. He said I just hadn't talked to the right man.He told me to talk to one particular cam grinder and he knew this guy could fix me up. This guy said he could accompolish what I wanted. He recommended I keep the victor Jr. intake ,Use a 650 to 750 carb,my 411gear with the 6 speed. He wants me to cut at least ,024 off the heads and use a thinner G.M. performance head gasket. He says we are looking for between 10.5 to 11.0 to 1 compression. With the cam he wanted to keep the air speed up and keep a tighter seperation. He's thinking 224-230 109 straight up 477-482 lift .With 1.6 rockers lift would be 503-510. The roller cam would be the same except for lift 536-554. he assures me it will have plenty on the bottom end.and says I sould be able to drive it anywhere on pump gas.Not sure this is the way Im going. Something to think about.
