rebuilt 283 with new carb, older 327 intake it loads up when it gets warm??? does it need a plate between carb and intake for better air gas mix
pull the carb off and look under the gasket, if it has 2 - 3/8 holes on each side of the intake then it needs a steel plate under it. exhaust heat is coming up through those holes to heat the fuel up, but if you don't put the plate under the carb. then the heat will boil the gas in the carb. and load the motor up. its a thin metal plate that looks like a gasket.
