355 SBC noise
Has any one heard a fuel pump rod cause a noise like a rod knock??

Yup, if the spring on the fuel pump arm is broken or missing it will knock quite loudly.Buy a Buick, they got plenty power!

I'll second that and ad that I've seen this happen a lot and found nothing wrong with the pump cept a lot of free play in the in the pump arm....
