Thanks man. Okay here goes. The reason I am doing this rebuild is because its my 1st v8 rebuild. Right now I am searching this town for a cam bearing puller, once I swap the bearings the bottom end can go together. I am researching a cam kit right now probably gonna call up crane cams this weekend, and the clerk at the parts store is giving me a hand. I am cleaning the heads now, they are completely stripped down. The guy that gave me the engine said they were "circle track racing heads." well that tells us a whole bunch of nothing. My plan for this motor is to put it in a s10 and run at the 1/8th mile track down the road. If all goes well I am gonna scrap it or keep going. But I am really looking towards a 350. I spent many hours on this site looking at the 305 versus 350 wars. But to me its all about how you build it. I wanna run a performer intake and still bebating on a carb. I know they say you should plan things like this out, but i am not rushing anything. I really dont care to do the s10 thing, but its the only vehicle i think is pretty light, unless i get a chevette . But once again tech, i do apologize man this is a cool site and i would hate to get booted for my comments.
