Hey, This just in: have you confirmed zero on the harmonic balancer? You can reach in to the plug hole on #1 with a screwdriver and feel for TDC while you move the crank by hand..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
