Well, the story goes on.
My cam is a solid roller 260/268 duration at .050" with .714" lift and 108* lobe center set at 107* intake centerline.
2 degrees advance cam timing helped but did not fix it. At an idle, 1300 rpm, water temp goes beyond 250* in 5 minutes.
Things I have done that have not helped. New 30% larger aluminum radiator w/ dual electric fans. Re jetted dual Edelbrock 1405, 600 CFM carbs. Set timing at 34* all in with MSD 7al-3 box. 20* retard at cranking.
Does it make sense that the exhaust valve should open later to keep the heat out of the headers? 91 octane fuel should be okay for 10.5:1 compression? My cranking compression is only 110psi. I am running AFR 335cc ported aluminum heads with 112cc chambers and Inconel valves.
I appreciate all advice. Thx.
