Correct me if I'm wrong, but most early 4 barrels were WCFB's. Then came Holley's, thermo quads and Rochesters and not in that order. Edlebrock didn't get involved until they bought out Carter. I have obviously missed some and most were complicated to work on and tune and if you've ever had a FoMoCo 4 barrel from a 67 T-Bird apart you'll know from where I speak.
