about 14000 miles on motor; only driven about twice a week; i've had the car since March in which I installed an edelbrock carb; vacuum hoses are ok; gas cap is new vented; no sign of gas leakage around carb; all gaskets look ok; warm year round here. I was told yesterday that it is my metering rods in the edelbrock that are wrong size. That the carb is loading up. What do you think? I appreciate the help.

bluffdale is southwest of Ft Worth about 50 miles? sounds like deer country to me.
